Miért? Reasons
Angolul nincs ilyen hang; u-t vagy i-t mondanak. EN Not an English sound; children say u or i.
Az ű-vel párban: hosszúság hallása és jelölése. HU EN Paired with ű: hearing and marking length.
Sok szóban a tő ü és ű között vált (tűz – tüzes), ami helyesírási gond. HU EN Many stems alternate between ű and ü (tűz – tüzes), a spelling trap.
Mit tehetünk? Teaching moves
"Puszi-trükk": iii-t mondunk, aztán puszira csücsörítünk — üüü. "Kiss trick": say "eee", then pucker for a kiss — "üüü".
Ne az u-ból induljunk (azt hátul képezzük), hanem az i-ből. Start from i, not from u (u is made at the back).
Helyesírásnál a szócsaládokat együtt tanítsuk: tűz – tüzes, fű – füvek, kút – kutak. For spelling, teach word families together: tűz – tüzes, fű – füvek.

ü and ű arrive in the same week. English has no front rounded vowels. Trick: say "e" (as in bed) and, without moving your tongue, round your lips — that is ö. Say "ee" and round your lips — that is ü.
